During my internship, I was able to practice design and media skills that I had learned in classes while also building on my soft skills like leadership, interpersonal communication, and time management. Because non-profits are smaller than larger companies and corporations, you’re able to see the impact you have on larger scale, walk away with solid deliverables, create deeper connections with co-workers, and solve problems that wouldn’t come up in other contexts.
