During my summer internship with Refugee Women’s Network, I supported refugee and immigrant women through culturally responsive programs, from coordinating fundraising and donor outreach to teaching English for refugee entrepreneurs. One highlight was organizing a youth mentorship field trip, fostering connections between young Sudanese refugees and the arts. This hands-on nonprofit work strengthened my skills in cross-cultural communication, program development, and community engagement, which I look forward to carrying forward in my career.
